Canon 在 CP+ 的第二個攻勢莫過於一口氣正式推出三款 L 系超長焦鏡，包括 EF 500mm f/4L IS II、EF 600mm f/4 IS II 及 EF 200-400mm f/4 IS USM Extender 1.4X，絕對是今年度運動及生態攝影師的高度注視目標。當中 500mm 及 600mm 均為 2 代目產品，較特別的反而是開發中的 200-400mm 的一款鏡頭，內藏 1.4 倍增距鏡，令使用時的靈活性大增。

新設計 500mm / 600mm 大幅減重足本使用兩片螢石鏡片
兩款一直受專業用家關注的鏡頭分別為 EF 500mm f/4L IS II 及 EF 600mm f/4 IS II 。二代目最主要特點除了加了 IS 4級防震外，其鏡身物料亦採用混入鈦的鎂合金，令鏡頭重量比上代大幅下降，以 500mm 二代為 3,190g，比上代輕 680g，相當於 17%；而 600mm 二代為 3,920g，輕約 1,400g，相當於 27%，對經常身負沉重器材的用家，絕對是個天大喜訊。
新鏡頭採用防塵防水滴設計，而鏡片設計為 16 片 12 組，雖然鏡片較上代少一片，但新鏡兩鏡均採用兩片螢石鏡片，所以影像質素相信會進一步提升。新鏡片也採用了 Super Spectra Coatings 及 SubWavelength Structure Coating (SWC) 鍍鏌，減少眩光之影響。鏡片亦使用了氟素鍍膜，可輕易將鏡片表面的油脂及水滴清除。濾鏡系統採用內置式設計，可按需安裝 52mm 直徑濾鏡。
兩款超長焦鏡 IS 防震系統除提供 Mode 1 及 Mode 2 的防震方向外，增加了 Mode 3 防震功能，可將防震設為兩段，在半按快門時暫時終止防震，待全按快門曝光一刻時才發揮防震效果。此外，對焦系統採用 USM 超聲波馬達，提供快速準確的對焦效率。
兩鏡預計發售日期及售價如下：
EF 500mm f/4L IS II 預計 5 月於日本發售，售價為 1,134,000 日元
EF 600mm f/4L IS II 預計 6 月於日本發售，售價為 1,438,500 日元

可切換功能變身 560 f/5.6
EF 200-400mm f/4 IS USM Extender 1.4X 這款新鏡頭的概念可謂極為罕見，內藏 1.4 倍增距可以讓攝影師在必要時將焦距毋須經過繁複的安裝過程，即時延長焦距將影像放大，令相片的細節及迫力加強，不會錯失重要時刻。加上使用了 USM 超聲波馬達對焦，最適合無時無刻都在守候的運動攝影師。此鏡採用專業防塵及防水滴設計，使用螢石鏡片，提高解像度及色彩對比表現。
EF 200-400mm f/4 IS USM Extender 1.4X 之鏡片設計及售價未有詳情，估計會於 CP+ 公佈，預計為 2011 年稍後時間發售。
